What happens in a session?

Explanation of the topic of the session

Each Kriya or Kundalini Yoga series has a unique focus. I explain the focus at the beginning as well as the alignment of the yoga poses.

Tune in

Each class starts by tuning in with the Mantra Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo.
This mantra stimulates the mind and spirit and aligns personal intentions with practice, as well as supporting the person with the wisdom of the teachers.

Warm up

There will be warm up exercises or kriyas that generate energy (prana) to the body. The rhythmic exercises synchronise the body, breathing and mind.

Practice the Kriya or Series

The session will then focus on a specific aspect of the human condition.

Relaxation

As soon as the kriya is finished we enter a relaxation stage, which rejuvenates the body and mind. Coming back from the relaxation there will be a meditation exercise that will bring clarity and self realisation, as well as for working on specific aspects of the human condition.

Meditation

The meditation selected will complement the topic chosen for the session.

Closing mantras

At the end the group is instructed to sing the closing mantras. Each session allows the person to project peace and the healing that occurred during the session will make the spirit rise.

Kriyas

The “Kriyas” used in Kundalini are a series of movements, sounds, mudras, breathing exercises (pranayamas), concentration and meditation, organised so that the energies automatically guide the energies of the body, mind and spirit.

Within the structure of each Kriya, stable and predictable progress is offered in the basic functions of the body and mind, creating rapid and sustained personal growth and healing.

In this tradition meditation is not considered something separate from Asana, it is integral to practice. The exercises of each Kriya allow the body and mind to enter a state where deep meditation is easily obtained.

Meditations

The meditations used in Kundalini Yoga allow you to releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link of awareness itself.

In my classes you will find specific practical tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of breath, mantra, mudra, and focus. Through this practice you will cleanse your mind.

There is big range and variety of meditation techniques that also have specific applications: to reduce stress, increase vitality, clear chakras, increase intuition, etc.
